Welcome Letter

Welcome to Valley Vista High School.  I am so fortunate to be the Principal and have the opportunity to work with a very caring and dedicated staff who are truly committed to all of our students.  VvHS is a very unique and supportive learning environment that promotes positive relationship building, developing personal responsibility, and acquiring 21st century skills.  As the credit recovery school for HBUHSD, our emphasis is on helping struggling students stay in school and graduate.  Students enroll in 5 classes per quarter and are expected to earn 5 credits in every class for a total of 25 or more credits per quarter.  Teacher directed and lab style classes are offered.  Student attendance and class participation are critical because credits cannot be earned when the student misses class.  In addition, parents are asked to communicate with the teachers, counselor, and office regarding their child’s attendance and academic progress and to support our school rules and standards.  Please contact me with your questions or concerns.  Check our website for staff information, calendar, and activities.

We believe every student can succeed by Getting Their ACT Together at VvHS.  The opportunity to get back on track academically, improve your attendance, realize your talents, and prepare for the transitions in your life await you at VvHS.  We want students to be committed to learning and achieving their goals.  My staff and I hope all of our students will SOAR TO SUCCESS!
