Student-of-the-Month

The Fountain Valley Rotary Club honors a VvHS student each month at a breakfast meeting. The student selects a staff member and invites family members to attend. Selection criteria include academic achievement, attendance, service to the school, and citizenship.

Golden Eagle Student Awards

In May, Valley Vista presents awards to students who demonstrate academic achievement, attendance, improvement, and citizenship in their classes.  

Senior  Activities

All senior information is available in April.  A brochure describing all senior/graduation activities will be mailed home.  A printed version will be available in the office, or visit our website. Our commencement is a cap and gown ceremony held in the quad. Cap and gown orders may be placed in the office through April or online.  A  loaner gown is available at no charge but arrangements to borrow a gown must be made in advance. The day before graduation, the staff hosts a breakfast for all seniors prior to graduation rehearsal.  

Scholarships

VvHS offers several small student scholarships for graduating seniors.  In addition, eligible students have the opportunity to earn scholarships from Valley Vista High School and other organizations. See Mrs. Lopez, School Counselor, to apply. 

Graduation

Our graduation ceremony is a cap and gown ceremony, mid June, here at Valley Vista High School.  Each graduate has the opportunity to receive a minimum of 5 tickets for the ceremony, and up to 10 if more are available.  See our school secretary, Mrs. Schiavone, for more information.
